On-Demand Youth Leadership Program: Climate Change
Peter Dahlen
The U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) is looking for high school students and mentors (23 years or older) for their climate change program. The program allows students from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. to cooperate and gain a deeper understanding of current climate goals and initiatives.
The program takes place between January and May 2022 and is divided into two phases. The first phase is a virtual exchange, and the second is a community-based project phase. The participants who are selected will meet experts and explore topics such as the Paris Agreement, COP26 goals, and sustainable land-use initiatives, and discover how science and tech create self-sustaining climate solutions.
Applications are open until December 1, 2021.
